think they can not accept the card. The Shop the Southern Tier Gift Card is a
prepaid Mastercard and
even if they have never heard of the program the business should still be able
to accept the card by charging it the same way they would any other Mastercard.
Can I use my card for food delivery apps?
Unfortunately, no. Food delivery apps like Doordash and Uber Eats are nationwide
technology companies. Whenever you place an order through their service you pass
money to them and they keep a large percentage of your order -- sometimes up to
35% or more -- and pay the rest to the local business. This ultimately hurts local
businesses which is why we strongly encourage ordering with a local business directly.
